• Your time at Women of the Wild is completely up to you. We offer a flow of opportunities throughout the weekend—places to connect, moments to turn inward, and chances to learn something new. But you’re also totally welcome to skip every workshop, go for a hike, take a nap, chat with an old friend, or make a new one.

This weekend is all about listening to what your heart and body need. To get a better idea of the kinds of activities we typically offer, you can check out some schedules from past gatherings.

  • A general admission registration ($444) includes:

    • 3 nights of camping

    • 8 meals (3 dinners, 3 breakfasts, and 2 lunches)

    • 7+ workshops

    • opening and closing circles

    • open market (can sell your own goodies or just shop and support others!)

    • optional paid add-ons (private and small group)

    • a magical weekend in nature with a welcoming and loving community

  • Yes, children are welcome at Women of the Wild! However, we don’t have any formal childcare set up. Many parents choose to come with a friend or family member so they can trade off childcare while the other attends workshops.

It’s worth noting that not all workshop content will be “kid-friendly,” so if you’re bringing your child to a session, we recommend checking in with the presenter beforehand to make sure it’s a good fit.

We want to support you in making this experience work for you and your family!

  • Yes! ALL women are welcome at Women of the Wild.

  • Absolutely! If you are a non-binary, genderqueer, or gender non-conforming individual who feels comfortable and aligned with women-designated spaces, you are wholeheartedly welcome at Women of the Wild.

We ask all presenters to be mindful and inclusive, recognizing that not everyone in attendance identifies as a woman. Presenters are encouraged to use language that reflects the diversity of experiences within our community.

That said, some workshops or offerings may reflect themes or experiences that are traditionally centered on cisgender women’s lives. While these may not fully align with your lived experience, you’re welcome to skip these sessions or speak with the presenter to explore ways the content might be adapted to resonate more with you.

Each day, our schedule includes time for participant-led affinity groups, offering space for connection and support among those who share similar identities. There is often a group specifically for non-binary, genderqueer, and gender non-conforming participants, providing an additional opportunity to connect and share.

We are committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment and deeply value the presence and voices of all participants.

  • About a month before the gathering, we’ll send out a carpool sign-up sheet to all registered participants. We encourage everyone who has a car (or is able to rent one) to consider offering a ride to someone else. It’s a great way to foster community care and help make the gathering more accessible for everyone.

If you’re looking for a ride, don’t worry—carpooling is usually a big part of how people get to Women of the Wild. You’ll have a chance to connect with others heading your way and work out the details together.

  • Take a look at our packing list! It will give you a good idea of what to bring. We’ll also update it over the summer or early fall with any specific items that might be needed for this year’s gathering once our workshop schedule is finalized.

  • Yes, yes, YES! If you’re a maker, grower, or creator, the open market on Sunday afternoon is the perfect place to share your goods. Whether it’s artwork, herb bundles, clothing, or anything else you pour your heart into, you’re welcome to bring it along to sell or trade.

The market is such a special part of the gathering—a chance to take home something meaningful and unique while supporting the creative souls in our Women of the Wild community. You’ll handle your own payments, and there are no commissions or fees—just a space to shine and connect.

  • Yes! If you have a workshop idea, we’d love to hear about it. Please email Heather at madewithlovedc@gmail.com with a short bio and some details about your experience leading workshops or offerings.

That said, having a ton of experience isn’t a requirement to lead a workshop at Women of the Wild. Since 2016, so many first-time presenters have used WOTW as a place to dip their toes into leading workshops—and many have gone on to lead more offerings since!

WOTW is a loving, supportive, and eager-to-learn environment, making it an amazing space to try presenting for the first time. If this speaks to you, don’t hesitate to reach out!

  • We totally understand that life can change unexpectedly! Here’s our refund policy:

    • If you need to cancel 30 days or more before the event, you’ll receive a full refund.

    • If it’s within two weeks of the event, we offer a 50% refund.

    • Unfortunately, we can’t offer refunds within the 13 days leading up to the event.

We always strive to be as flexible as possible, and we’re grateful for your understanding.

  • We understand that financial constraints can be a concern, and we want to ensure that cost doesn’t prevent anyone from attending Women of the Wild. If the full cost is difficult for you, we highly encourage you to fill out our payment plan form, which allows you to pay in installments throughout the year.

While we’ve kept our prices mostly unchanged since 2016, we’ve had to adjust them this year due to our move to a new coast and rising costs across the board.

If, after using the payment plan, you’re still unable to attend, please email madewithlovedc@gmail.com. We are happy to discuss additional options to ensure that you can be part of this special experience.

We truly believe that everyone should have the opportunity to attend, and we’ll work with you to make it possible.

  • No, dogs are not allowed at Women of the Wild 2025. This is a venue rule and cannot be changed.

If you have a service dog (not an emotional support animal), you must submit the required paperwork directly to the venue and receive approval from the venue owner. All approved service dogs must remain leashed at all times during the event.

  • Women of the Wild is a sober space. We ask that attendees refrain from using alcohol or any mind-altering substances. Many in our community are in recovery and appreciate the chance to gather in a substance-free environment. Even if you are not in recovery, WOTW is an invitation to ground into yourself and connect deeply—free from distractions—in a way we often don’t experience in our day-to-day lives.

  • Yes! All indoor accommodations with queen beds can be shared between people who know each other.

    • If you’d like to share a room (Amethyst Suite or Cowgirl Cabin), both people should register for general admission and purchase the shared room/shared bathroom upgrade.

    • If you’d like to share a bed in an upgraded indoor accommodation, only one person should purchase the upgrade. The second person can receive a special payment link for their portion ($111 or $222, depending on the accommodation) by emailing Heather at madewithlovedc@gmail.com.
